FAQ

This list is regularly updated and added to, be sure to check back often for answers to any questions you may have about this site.

Q: I forgot my User Id # or Password, what do I do?
A: On the log-in page, click the link that says “Forgot Password”, you will be asked to enter the email address which you used to sign-up and the site will send you an email that tells you your User Id # and Password.
Q: My application has been denied, how do I proceed?
A: Verify that you have entered all of your data correctly, especially the expiration date on your credit card. It should read MMYY with no punctuation. If everything is correct, there may be a problem with the authorization process for your card. You may have better luck with another card.
Q: Why doesn't my URL work?
A: There may be an invalid character in the URL address. There can be no spaces or punctuation marks in the URL. Please notify us at support@referralnetwork.com and we will rectify the problem.
Q: I can't (or am experiencing trouble trying to) upload my photos to my personal web page or listings.
A: This system has been rigorously tested by both our developers and customers. If you review the instructions in the sections on editing your profile or adding listings, you should not encounter problems. The most common reasons for file upload problems, in the order of freqency, are:
  1. File naming problems - there can be no special characters or spaces in the file name or any directory in which it is contained. Verify that all of the names of the folders containing your image and your image file name itself contain ONLY letters and numbers.
  2. File extension - the file MUST contain the appropriate 3-letter extension based on the file format, either .jpg, .gif, or .png.
  3. Unsupported format - Although modern browsers are widening their image support type with each revision, the only universally viewable formats are JPG, .GIF, and .PNG file types. Make sure that when you save your file it is indeed saved in the correct format.
  4. Corrupted files - Some systems, especially if you have a virus, will incorrectly save a file or there will be bits of data missing, rendering it unviewable or corrupted. Although less frequent, this does occur from time to time. If your file will not upload or you receive Invalid File Type errors from this site, make sure the file can be opened and viewed in a standard graphics program, such as Photoshop or Paint Shop Pro. If you can open the file without error, try re-saving the file under a different file name and upload it again.
